The Amputee clip sling is suitable for residents/patients with bilateral leg amputations above the knee or total hip.

Selecting the most appropriate sling is important to ensure it is suitable for the patient/resident, for the type of transfer required, and compatible with the lift being used.

This sling is intended for assisted transfers of double amputee patients/residents with limited ability to move. It provides comfort and support for a range of everyday resident/patient handling routines.

Arjo

The amputee sling is designed for a safe and secure transfer of patients with double-sided and single-sided leg amputations. The sling is also suitable for patients with an increased tendency of sliding out of other types of slings or patients with hip problems. The leg parts are folded over each other under the thighs in order to create a narrow opening or, if more suitable, the leg parts are applied between the legs.

The amputee sling can be used with a Human Care waist belt. The sling is available in either Polyester or Polyester Net.  The low-friction Polyester fabric makes sling application fast and simple and the Polyester Net allows the sling to be used in a bathing or showering environment as well as rehabilitation pools.

Humancare

The In-Situ Amputee Sling is a clip-style patient transfer sling designed for individuals with diverse mobility needs, including amputee scenarios. Based on the In-Situ High Easy Sling design, it provides full-body and head support while helping create more continuous support under the patient’s bottom and residual limb.

The sling can be applied while the patient is lying on the bed in a supine position or by turning the patient. Soft binding helps support patient comfort, while Silvalea D-Anserclip® universal clip fixings allow compatibility with a wide range of clip-style ceiling lift and floor lift systems. Once the patient has been transferred, the sling may be left in-situ, subject to an appropriate risk assessment.
